Flynn Effect and Sleeper Curve

Steven Johnson's Everything Bad is Good for You in part two of the book he talks about how the Flynn Effect related to the Sleeper Curve. The Flynn Effect is about the average IQ rising. People today say that playing video games and watching t.v. lower your average IQ because some people don't realize that you can actually use your brain for that type of stuff. Also with technology advancing these days we use it more and more to help educated ourselves. I agrees with Johnson these two are related to each other.
People who watch a lot of t.v. or play video games are probably raising their IQ, you don't really think about it but your using different sides of your brain to help. For example when you play a video game your using your hand eye coordination. An example for watching t.v. is say you are watching an episode of CSI, your using your brain to help put the pieces together to solve who the murderer is. Technology and all the smart phones we have out today help us use different side of our brain which will help us raise our IQ.
